Kerry Ellis replaced Jody Prenger in the West End production of Oliver!, now playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane until January 2011. Her most celebrated role has been that of Elphaba in Wicked, both in London and Broadway.

Among Kerry Ellis' previous notable roles are as Fantine in the West End production of Les Misérables and as Meat in the original London production of We Will Rock You. She has additionally appeared My Fair Lady and became second understudy to Martine McCutcheon for the lead role of Eliza Dolittle, which she got to play on five occasions.

Kerry Ellis has recently starred as Elephaba in Wicked, a role she played for six months at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway before beginning a two year run in London. She has won the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favourite Female Breakthrough Performance and won the Best Takeover in a Role at the 2008 Theatregoer's Choice Awards.

Kerry Ellis has starred as Elphaba in the West End and Broadway productions of the musical Wicked.

Kerry Ellis's theatre credits also include creating the role of Meat in the original London cast of We Will Rock You, Fantine in Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre and Ellen in the National Tour of Miss Saigon. This year Kerry has also played Svetlana in Chess In Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Kerry Ellis in Oliver!

Former Wicked star Kerry Ellis is hanging up her broomstick to replace Jodie Prenger as ‘Nancy’ in the acclaimed production of Lionel Bart’s hit musical Oliver! at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane. One of London’s favourite leading ladies, Kerry has had huge success both on Broadway and in London’s West End. Her most famous roles include ‘Meat’ in the original London cast of We Will Rock You, ‘Fantine’ in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre and ‘Ellen’ in Miss Saigon. Kerry joined Griff Rhys Jones and the rest of the Oliver! cast from 29 March.

Oliver is performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in Covent garden and will run until the 26th February 2011.


Royal Albert Hall

On Saturday 13 November, Kerry Ellis will be performing at the 'Festival of Remembrance' at the Royal Albert Hall. For these two performances only, Jodie Prenger will return to the role of 'Nancy'.


Kerry Ellis, Brian May, and Adam Pascal will come together for Anthems: the Concert, to be offered at Royal Albert Hall on May 1st 2011 at 8 PM. The event will raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Research. The singers will be accompanied by the City of London Philharmonic, The Anthems Ensemble, The West End Chorus and Dancers.
